The Blood Furnace is the second wing of the Hellfire Citadel located in the center of Hellfire Peninsula. The instance is available to players once they enter the Outland. The Blood Furnace is simple and can be mastered by a team of 5 level 60s and is even easier once the levels start increasing. The Blood Furnace can also be challenged on Hard difficulty had has been completed by 5 level 67s on several occasions. At this difficulty the loot is mostly level 70 requirement.
Group Composition
This is pretty straight forward, it is nice to have crowd control as most of the pulls consist of 2-3 humanoids and non elite imps. Also, near the end of the instance there are pulls of 2 elite demons that can be banished, but this isn't necessary. There is also an event that is easiest with area of effect spells, so a mage is most useful.
There are only 3 bosses in The Blood Furnance, The Maker, Broggok and Keli'dan.
The Maker
The Maker is the first boss in the instance, you can get to him and defeat him easily with 4 people. He has no special attacks and does very little damage to a decently equipped tank.
Broggok
Broggok is, at the time of writing this, way too easy. He is a giant brain with very few hitpoints. The only thing you've got to worry about is the poison clouds he drops. Just move out of his poison cloud and you will be fine. There is, however, an event prior to fighting Broggok that provides a challenge.
The Broggok event. Once you have cleared the room before him (you'll see him on the other side of a bone door) there is a switch that triggers the event. The first four parts of this five part event are four cages opening and releasing four mobs which will aggro the nearest party member. The first group will contain 0 elites, second group 1 and so on. The coming of the next group is trigged by the death of the prior group. The next group can also be triggered by time, so do not try to hold a sheep and regenerate.
Once there is one mob left in the fourth group, sheep him and regenerate. Broggok will not enter until you kill the mob so get back any mana that you need. Once you kill the the last mob the fight is candy.
Keli'dan
Keli'dan is surrounded by six guards, they will all aggro at once but are very weak. Dispatch them, then attack the boss.
Shortly after he will perform a very lethal area effect spell. After this, charge back in.
